Attend a Glendale City Council Meeting and Speak Up regarding Glendale's Energy Future! The Council meets most Tuesdays at 6 p.m. A limited number of people are allowed to speak (3 minutes max) during the Community Event Announcements section of the meeting, closer to the beginning, and there are unlimited speaking slots during Oral Communications, near the end (5 minutes max.) This Sunday, June 9, we will be participating in a special environmental awareness event at the Brand Library called Art + Mindfulness: A Day About Making and Preserving Beauty. It starts at 11 am with an Exhibition Tour and Artist Talk, then from noon to 3 pm there will be booths and demonstrations, and finally a panel discussion from 3 to 4 pm moderated by zero-waste guru and all-around good guy Miles Lewis. Glendale City Council scheduled to VOTE on Package of GWP Plans including new gas at Grayson. Council is expected to vote on passage of the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). GWP will put forward their proposed energy plans, which we expect to include up to 100 MW of new gas at Grayson.
