GEC Rally & Glendale City Council Meeting

July 9, 2019 @ 10:30 am

RALLY INFO:  Glendale City Council is scheduled to make important decisions about the city’s energy future—including the future of the Grayson gas plant—in July. In advance of the vote, it is vital we let them know we want them to make the right choice: No New Gas at Grayson! Have your voice heard by joining the rally Tuesday, July 9, at 5:30 pm at the stairs in front of City Hall. Free parking is available in the City Hall lot (650 E. Wilson Ave.). Come down the steps to the sign-in tables in the Civic Center’s central plaza. There will be signs to hold, or bring your own (you can bring your yard sign!). Come at 5 if you also want to join a short march down Glendale Avenue. Bring the kids, bring friends and neighbors, wear a green shirt. STAND WITH US!

CITY COUNCIL MEETING INFO: Attend the Glendale City Council meeting after the rally! The City Council will meet starting at 6 pm. After the rally, join us as we go to the Council chamber and show City Council our our support for clean energy and no new gas generation! You can also address the City Council during Oral Communications, near the end of the meeting (5 minutes max). If you would like to speak on Grayson and Glendale’s energy future, please contact us so we can put you on our speakers list and share resources: GlendaleEnvironment@gmail.com.
